“… for when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10

I have been meaning to start this blog for so long. My family and I have been through so much and I have grown and learned so much. Even in the toughest of battles, my faith has been strengthened. With this blog, I hope to do two things: Bring Awareness to a major issue in our justice system and Bring Hope to those who a coping and fighting like we are. My children and I survived an abusive marriage. Thankfully, with the love and support of a few good Sheriff’s officers and Police Officers, we were finally able to get out and move on. The story doesn’t end there. We have been working through keeping the children of the marriage safe while dealing with a custody battle. After proving to be a stable and fit parent, I have lost custody of my children. As we raise awareness, I hope to correct the wrong. I wasn’t an abusive parent. I shouldn’t be punished for the abuse my children have reported simply for seeking help for them. DSS and CPS screening out process is leaving children and families at risk. This is where I begin my journey of fighting to stop the system from ruining another life. I hope this journey is powerful and effective. I lean on my faith in God in his promise that “… all things work together for good”. Romans 8:28
